Frozen moment in time. Store display likely dates to the 1880s/90s and is packed with figural sugar molds, candy poles (canes) and maybe even the occasional star shaped cookie!

Appears to be just as a cunning shop keep left it over a century ago packed with tiny ornate bon bons (some in the shape of Christmas trees) anchoring the striking nutcrackers and sitting cats arranged against the glass.

Stands 8” high and 6” in diameter. Glass is clear, condition of jar and painted metal top are very nice. Candy has broken down in a variety of ways. What appears to be cookies have begun to melt, sugar molds have discolored and crystalized - three cats and two nutcrackers visible (one candy soldier with a displaced head). Beautiful experiment in decay.

*Will be shipped to insure no damage to the jar, though I cannot control sweets shifting inside the glass.
